This Memorial Forest was officially opened on 1st September 2013 by The Rt. Reverend The Bishop of Beverley and the Chief Executive Officer of Welcome Break.

Sited in the Memorial Forest is a Monument dedicated to the four Corps that make up the Army Medical Services and also a small windfall fruit orchard.

This forest is located to the rear of the Westbound Welcome Break Services offering a beautiful and peaceful amenity for all visitors to enjoy. Nearby there is a picnic area and full facilities are available to all.

This Memorial Forest is available to all civilian and military personal.

Life for a Life planting areas are natural environments where we encourage wildlife and plantlife to flourish, as such additional items should not be added to the tree or the space around it, especially as they can cause damage to the tree. Please be aware that any prohibited items left on or around memorial trees will be removed.
